MIA to LAX (Thursday 8/29/19)
Uneventful flight with the usual characters.
Los Angeles, Day 1 (Thursday 8/29/19)
Alex was still working when we arrived at around 3:30 PM, so Marc picked us up and we went to eat at a restaurant near the Beverly Wilshire Hotel where Alex works.
Once Alex got out, we drove to Melrose and checked out a couple of marijuana dispensaries. We just had to see what these were like. This was the second one we visited, called Agora Temple. This is their official website and this, their Yelp page. The last photo is the upstairs room where they take you to sample their product whenever you make a “donation”, which is what they call what you pay. We asked to go and see. They were all quite nice.
Next, came a visit to The Broad Museum.
Which is right next to Walt Disney Concert Hall.
At night, we had dinner at Gracias Madre, a vegetarian Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood.
And then, this.
We slept at Alex and Marc’s cute Hollywood studio that night (Eastown LA), followed by three nights at the Sheraton Grand in downtown LA and then, one last night at Alex and Marc’s studio on Monday night before taking off for San Francisco on Tuesday morning.
